The XSPEC 142 is a feature rich Advanced Aviation Training Device with standard features such as wrap-around visuals, a fully enclosed cockpit, real aircraft feel switches and control knobs, and a huge airport and terrain database. Scenario-based training compatibility will enable pilots to stay proficient, practice, prepare and perfect IFR proficiency and training, adverse weather and emergency procedures, multi-engine familiarization and preparation for unfamiliar airports and terrain.
The XSPEC 142 is configured for the Piper Seminole Twin Engine and Cessna 172, as well as six other light Twin and single-engine models, with a Garmin 750 emulator for moving map display and navigation. Near North Aviation is working with Transport Canada to acquire Level 2 FTD Certification.
Besides the obvious cost advantages, the simulator is not affected by inclement weather so you can “fly” whenever you want during the school’s business hours.
